Network Engineer
& PC Service Technician

Our company provides
high quality services to local companies at their offices and in our repair
depot. This job is for a technician that can provide a wide range of
PC services skills and intermediate to advanced networking skills to our
business clients.
Requirements for PC Service
Skills:
- 3 years minimum PROFESSIONAL FULL TIME
experience performing service on computer hardware and troubleshooting
software. It is important that this experience be actual time
working as a service technician full time, not just informal
experience.
- It is helpful if you are A+ Certified, but
not a requirement. Actual experience and skill is more important
to us over certification.
- You must have strong familiarization with
Windows 9x, Windows 2000 Professional,
Windows XP home and Pro. And, some familiarity with Windows NT
Workstation, Windows 3.1 and DOS.
- You must be proficient in troubleshooting software
problems with operating systems as well as a wide variety of other
off-the-shelf programs.
- You must be proficient with troubleshooting,
repairing, upgrading and otherwise servicing computer hardware.
Requirements for Networking
Skills:
- You must have a strong understanding of
Microsoft Exchange Server
2000, Windows NT Server, Windows 2000 Server and . Experience in all
of these is helpful for this job.
- An MCSE certification is preferred but not
necessary. Actual skill and experience is more important than a
certificate.
- Formal training and skills for peer-to-peer
and client-server networks is imperative.
- It is also helpful if you have additional
networking skills such as: SQL Server,
Microsoft Small Business Server, VPN installation, Novell, Citrix,
or cabling.
General Skills:
- You must be customer focused. This
means that you provide quality care to each customer. This job
requires your presence at our clients' offices. Our primary
objective with our clients is to provide more productivity, fewer
problems, or none at all, and
technology that runs smoothly for them. You must be the person
that provides this for them.
- You must present yourself
professionally. This means in attire as well as
communication. We strive to talk to our clients in terms they
understand and give them options that are positive for them.
- You must be an upbeat, solution-oriented
person. People that focus only on the problems cause
problems. We are looking for those that identify problems and
provide solution options to our company, our staff and our clients.
- You must be a team player. Most of the
time, you will be working at clients offices, however, you will also
work in our office with our other employees. We are looking for
someone that gets along well with the others in our office as well as
our customers.
- You must be a dedicated learner of
technology. Because this industry is constantly changing, we
favor those that work hard to stay updated. This helps our
clients and our business.
Pay and Benefits:
This position pays $15 to $25 per hour
as a base amount. We also provide a performance bonus program that
allows for substantially higher net pay. The exact amount depends on
skill and experience. We have available medical benefits and discounts
on products.
